History

Le Balze is a hillside cru at 300 metres in Marano, exposed south to south-east on clay and limestone, planted to Guyot at 5000 vines per hectare. The grapes are picked in the third week of September and dried about a hundred days in a hillside fruttaio at 400 metres before fermenting thirty days in oak truncated-cone vats.
