What it pairs with

  • Duck liver pâté on toast
The Aszú's sweetness and acidity cut through rich duck liver.
  • Apricot tart
Stone-fruit in both wine and tart create a natural flavour echo.
  • Mild Roquefort
Moderate sweetness and high acidity handle milder blue cheeses well.

History

Kikelet Pince began Aszú production in earnest from the 2010 vintage, using their Tarcal vineyards' botrytised grapes for the first serious noble-rot sweet wine from the estate.
