History
Sauvignon Blanc is extremely rare in the Wachau DAC appellation, where the climate and tradition favour Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. Höllmüller planted Sauvignon Blanc as an experiment and found it thrived in the cooler Joching microclimate, producing a distinctively herbal and mineral style.
- 2005 — First commercial Sauvignon Blanc released by Höllmüller, one of the very few in the Wachau DAC zone
