What it pairs with
-
Vanilla ice cream
Classic PX service: drizzled over cold vanilla, the contrast of warm-sweet and cold dairy is celebrated throughout Jerez. -
Pecan pie
Nutty sweetness and dark fruit in the PX amplify the caramel-nut filling. -
Blue Stilton
High sweetness offsets the salt and pungency of blue cheese.
History
San Emilio PX is one of the cornerstone wines in the Lustau Solera Reserva collection. Made from Pedro Ximénez grapes sun-dried on esparto mats to concentrate sugar before fermentation, then aged in American oak through an oxidative solera. The name honours San Emilio, patron saint associated with the house's founding era.
- 1975 — San Emilio PX included in Lustau's inaugural Solera Reserva range
