In the glass
Aroma: toasted almonds, green apple, bread crust, light herbs
Palate: citrus peel, almonds, mineral salinity, chamomile
Jerez Fino from the Lustau Solera Reserva range. Pale golden, bone dry, with almond and green apple notes and a clean saline finish.
What it pairs with
-
Jamón serrano and almonds
The classic Fino pairing; the wine's almond notes find a mirror in the ham and nuts. -
Gazpacho
The crisp acidity refreshes the palate between spoonfuls of cold tomato soup. -
Pescaíto frito (fried small fish)
Light body and high acidity cut through the fry batter without overwhelming the fish.
History
Jarana Fino is part of Lustau's Solera Reserva range, which highlights individually selected soleras rather than blended production lots. The name Jarana (a festive party in Andalusian vernacular) reflects the wine's convivial, food-friendly character as a Fino designed for the table rather than solo sipping.
- 1975 — Jarana Fino introduced in the Lustau Solera Reserva portfolio
