What it pairs with

  • Roast chicken with tarragon
The softer, more approachable style of Les Charmes pairs well with classic roast chicken.
  • Gratin dauphinois
The gentle structure of this Morgon suits creamy potato preparations.
  • Cold cuts and cornichons
A classic Beaujolais bistro board with good ham and pickles.

History

Les Charmes is a softer, more accessible lieu-dit cuvee from Burgaud, from parcels on clay-rich soil above the schist of the Cote du Py. More immediately approachable than the Py bottling.

  1. 1998 — Les Charmes first bottled as a separate cuvee
