Aroma: walnut, honey, quince

Palate: honey, quince

It takes 130 kg of grapes to make 20 litres here, and the domaine bottles only five or six hectolitres in a good year. Honey-coloured, with complex walnut, honey and quince aromatics and a suave, very long palate balanced between alcohol and sugar.

What it pairs with

  • Comte quiche as an aperitif
The domaine serves it cool at 10 degrees with a cheese quiche.
  • Foie gras toasts
Named by Montbourgeau on this wine's serving card.
  • Apricot tart or tarte tatin
Both are the producer's own dessert suggestions.
