Frequently asked about Cirelli Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Anfora

Why is the maceration so short?

The estate destems but keeps the berries whole so that only the nobler skin tannins are extracted, aiming at a balance between Montepulciano's power and drinkability, which is why maceration lasts ten days at most.

How long does it spend in amphora?

About two years in buried terracotta amphorae, where malolactic fermentation also takes place.

How is the vineyard farmed?

Organically and biodynamically, with guyot training on clay and limestone and hand harvesting into crates.
