Frequently asked about Tiberio Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo
How is Tiberio Cerasuolo made?
No pressing at all: the must is taken by gravity alone, then fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, with malolactic left unfinished and no fining or filtration.
What does it taste like?
Tiberio describes intense, clean aromas opening on cherry, strawberry and red fruit, a fresh and saline attack with good acid nerve and body, and a persistent strawberry and cherry close.
Is Cerasuolo the same as a light Montepulciano?
No. Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo has been its own rosato DOC since 2010 and is made deliberately, not drawn off a red fermentation as an afterthought.
