What it pairs with
-
Bone-in rib of beef with roasted marrow
The wine's iron mineral tannins demand the richest, most flavourful beef cut. -
Braised hare with juniper
Rich gamey hare stew rewards a deeply mineral Cornas. -
Camembert de Normandie
Soft creamy cheese softens the wine's firm tannins elegantly.
History
La Geynale was first produced in 2003 as Vincent Paris's top single-vineyard cuvee. It comes from a specific terroir in Cornas that Paris identified as having the greatest mineral potential on his estate.
