What it pairs with

  • Roast rack of lamb with garlic and thyme
Classic Northern Rhone pairing; the wine's mineral depth and dark fruit match slow-roasted lamb.
  • Venison ragout with wild mushrooms
Game and mushroom earthiness meet the wine's mineral concentration.
  • Beef daube with olives
Provencale beef stew and the wine's olive and dark fruit character are complementary.

History

Granit 60 uses fruit from the oldest vines in the Paris domaine, approximately 60 years old. The increased vine age produces markedly more concentration and mineral depth than Granit 30.

  1. 1997 — First vintage of Granit 60 from the domaine's oldest vine parcels
