Palate: yellow stone fruit, hazelnut, spice

Long-lived Loreto Aprutino Trebbiano. Luciano Pignataro, opening a 1998 bottle, found a bright golden colour, peach, apricot, pineapple, hazelnut, candied fruit, broom and mint, with a delicate palate still young and fresh.

What it pairs with

  • Brodetto alla vastese
Pignataro drank the bottle with Neapolitan seafood cooking, and the wine's acidity carries the tomato and fish broth.
  • Grilled Adriatic sea bream
The stone-fruit and hazelnut register matches grilled white fish without covering it.
  • Pecorino di Farindola, young
Sheep's-milk salt sharpens the wine's freshness and the nutty tone answers the paste.
