Maggio Vini's Moscato di Noto is a delicately sweet fortified-adjacent late-harvest Moscato Bianco from the sun-drenched Noto terroir: peach blossom, orange and apricot with balancing acidity from the variety's natural freshness.

What it pairs with

  • Fresh fruit tart with pastry cream
The wine's peach-apricot sweetness and floral notes are the natural companion for fruit-based pastry.
  • Almond granita
Moscato di Noto is the traditional Sicilian pairing for almond granita and brioche.
  • Gelo di melone (watermelon jelly)
The wine's gentle sweetness and floral character match this Sicilian summer dessert.

History

Maggio Vini produces Moscato di Noto from the Maccari contrada near Syracuse, one of the warmest zones in Sicily. The Noto DOC includes a specific classification for Moscato Bianco, reflecting the ancient Siculo-Arab tradition of sweet wine production in the south-east of the island.
