Niersteiner Oelberg sits at the southern foot of the Roter Hang on a transition between red slate and clay-loam; the GG has a softer, savoury register.
Yellow apple, lime peel and earthy spice on the nose; soft mid-palate, earthy mineral spine and a savoury finish. Medium-bodied with high acidity.
Drink between 4 and 15 years from vintage. Drinks earlier than the Rothenberg or Pettenthal.
