Paris Sigalas led the deliberate revival of Mavrotragano, an indigenous Santorini red grape that nearly disappeared in the twentieth century. The Sigalas bottling, first commercial vintage in the early 2000s, demonstrated the variety's cellar-worthy potential.
- 2003 — First commercial Sigalas Mavrotragano vintage from revival plantings
- 2010 — Other Santorini producers including Hatzidakis, Gaia and Karamolegos follow with Mavrotragano bottlings
