Aroma: dried fruit, white flowers

Palate: sweet almond

The topped-up, non-oxidative face of Savagnin: casks refilled through the year so the grape's own fruit stays in front. Credoz records a golden robe, a complex nose of dried fruit and white flowers, and a sweet-almond close. This is not a veil-aged wine and carries none of the nutty oxidative character of Vin Jaune.

What it pairs with

  • Cubes of Comte as an aperitif
The domaine's own serving suggestion, served chilled.
  • Roast white fish
Credoz names fish; the ouille style keeps the citrus and floral lift a veil-aged wine would bury.
  • Shellfish platter
Listed by the producer; the wine's tension and saline finish suit crustaceans.
