Aroma: white flowers

Palate: orchard fruit

An almost-lost Chardonnay variant whose stems redden at ripeness, planted over 70 years ago by Victor Credoz on Chateau-Chalon ground. The domaine notes a pale gold robe, gentle white-flower aromatics and a round, fresh, persistent palate.

What it pairs with

  • Shellfish platter
The producer serves it chilled with crustaceans.
  • Salmon tartare
Named by the domaine; the wine's roundness holds up to raw fish without overwhelming it.
  • Served alone as an aperitif
Credoz suggests the bottle stands on its own before the meal.
