The ripest wine in the range and the most Mediterranean in feel: voluptuous and unctuous, yet elegant in density, with glossy tannins and a silky texture.
Las Lamas is the estate's ripest single-site Mencía, made in very small volumes from the paraje that gives it its name at Corullón. The fruit is now certified organic.
Deep, brooding dark fruit and mineral earth on the nose. The palate is juicy and peachy, velvety and voluptuous, with round glossy tannins that never feel heavy.
Las Lamas is consistently the riper of the two, warmer and more Mediterranean in feel, where Moncerbal is fluid and direct. Both come from single sites at Corullón.
Drink between five and twenty-five years from vintage. Decant young bottles for an hour before serving.
Oxtail stew and grilled lamb chops match its weight. Duck breast with figs picks up the stone-fruit note.
