What it pairs with

  • Bistecca alla fiorentina Find bistecca alla fiorentina on TableJourney →
Marbling and char meet the wine's medium tannin and red-cherry lift.
  • Wild boar pappardelle
Game ragu and Sangiovese acid is a Tuscan classic; Merlot fills out the back palate.
  • Aged pecorino with chestnut honey
Pecorino salt sharpens the cherry; chestnut honey echoes the sweet-spice register.

History

Luenzo entered the Cesani range in the early 2000s as the family's Toscana IGT red counterpart to the Vernaccia. Drawn from the spiritually significant Luenzo parcel, the wine is the estate's main red ambassador.
