The Aveleda Castas single-variety Alvarinho draws fruit from Aveleda's Monção e Melgaço sources rather than the home Penafiel estate (which sits outside the sub-region's Alvarinho-DOC zone). Released in the mid-2000s alongside the Castas Loureiro.
