Intense golden amber from Rkatsiteli grown around Alaverdi Monastery and vinified in the eleventh century cellar. Vibrant fruit and peach with balanced acidity and a long close.

What it pairs with

  • Roast poultry
Skin-contact grip carries roast bird better than a light white would.
  • Badrijani nigvzit
Walnut paste is the standard Kakhetian partner for an amber Rkatsiteli.
  • Aged sulguni
Salt in the cheese softens the tannin from six months on the skins.
