Aroma: direct-press red-grape purity
Palate: robust frame, delicate bead, lees-built texture
A blanc de noirs pressed straight off Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, robust and delicate at once after a year on fine lees.
The must ferments at 15C after direct pressing of the red grapes, and the second fermentation follows the champenoise method with free yeasts and twelve months on fine lees.
Touriga Nacional 80 percent and Tinta Roriz 20, both red varieties pressed white.
The estate calls it an excellent blanc de noirs, robust and at the same time delicate, built on the purity of directly pressed red fruit and a year of lees ageing.
