How to serve Quinta do Portal Late Bottled Vintage

Allow 120 minutes from open to pour.

  1. Open and decant. Stand the bottle upright for a few hours, then decant slowly so the sediment stays behind.
  2. Serve cool. A cool room temperature suits a full-bodied LBV.
  3. Glassware. A Port glass or small tulip.
  4. Pair with the food. Dark chocolate, Aged cheddar, Walnut cake. Chocolate and aged cheese suit the wine's black fruit.

History

Quinta do Portal makes its LBV in years of excellent quality, ages it longer in wood than Vintage Port and bottles it four years after harvest without filtering.
