Five varieties co-fermented in one granite lagar and given eighteen unwooded months: mulberry and redcurrant with a cedar-leaf edge.
Ruby red, with forest-berry aromas where red mulberry and redcurrant stand out beside a light touch of cedar leaf. The palate carries red fruit such as blueberry and raspberry with light spice nuances, soft well integrated tannins and a persistent natural acidity that lengthens the finish.
Touriga Nacional, Jaen, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz and other old varieties, all fermented together in a granite lagar rather than separately.
Eighteen months in stainless steel vats, progressively and under control, with no barrel at any stage.
