The estate's signature mid-tier Reserva: 15 months in French oak delivers dark cherry, violet and cedar with the defining freshness and acidity of Vizcarra's high-altitude Burgos terroir.
What it pairs with
-
Roast rack of lamb with wild herbs
Dark fruit and fresh acidity beautifully complement the herb-fragrant lamb rack. -
Grilled Iberico secreto
Silky tannins and dark fruit match the marbled pork fat. -
Aged Torta del Casar
Creamy sheep's-milk cheese softens the wine's firm tannins.
History
Vizcarra 15 Meses has become one of the most recognisable wines in the Burgos sector of Ribera del Duero, noted for its combination of concentration and freshness. The name simply refers to the 15-month barrel-ageing period in French oak.
