Aroma: cassis, dark plum, roasted coffee, crushed stone

Palate: concentrated black fruit, graphite, espresso, ultra-fine tannins

Vizcarra's prestige old-vine parcel wine, named for the estate founder's grandmother. Dense black fruit, graphite and espresso from 20 months in new French oak, with exceptional freshness for this concentration level.

What it pairs with

  • Prime ribeye on wood grill
Ultra-fine tannins and concentrated fruit call for the fat and char of premium beef.
  • Roast venison with juniper
Earthy graphite and black fruit suit the gamey venison with aromatic juniper.
  • Black truffle croquettes
Espresso and graphite notes echo the truffle's earthy depth.

History

Ines is Vizcarra's homage to the estate founder's grandmother, produced from a single parcel of ancient Tinto Fino vines at Mambrilla de Castrejon. Only made in the best vintages and released after 20 months in new French oak and extended bottle rest.
