What it pairs with

  • Roast lamb with garlic
Classic Ribera pairing with the wine's dark fruit and oak spice.
  • Grilled beef
Dark fruit and medium tannins complement charred beef.
  • Manchego cheese
Hard sheep's milk cheese echoes the wine's spice and vanilla.

History

Pago de los Capellanes was founded in 1996 at Pedrosa de Duero, taking its name from an old communal land parcel historically owned by church chaplains (capellanes) in the village. The Crianza is the estate's most accessible wine.
