Aroma: dark cherry, cassis, cedar, dried herbs

Palate: concentrated red and dark fruit, cedar spice, firm tannins, mineral

Portia's mid-premium Reserva: concentrated dark cherry, cassis and cedar from 16 months in French oak, showing the Gumiel de Izán terroir in a more structured, age-worthy style than the entry Prima.

What it pairs with

  • Slow-roasted suckling pig
Firm structure and concentrated dark fruit balance the richness of Castilian cochinillo.
  • Grilled lamb ribs with garlic aioli
Cedar and dark fruit match lamb ribs and the richness of aioli.
  • Manchego curado
Firm tannins and dark fruit pair with medium-cured sheep's cheese.
