Aroma: cassis, dark plum, violet, cedar incense

Palate: concentrated black fruit, graphite, cedar spice, polished tannins

Portia's prestige Triennia label from a single selected parcel: concentrated cassis, violet, graphite and cedar from 22 months in new French oak, representing the Gumiel de Izán terroir at its most concentrated and cellar-worthy.

What it pairs with

  • Prime dry-aged beef steak
Dense tannins and concentrated black fruit need the fat and complexity of dry-aged prime beef.
  • Braised wild boar with olives and herbs
Graphite and violet notes match gamey wild boar with aromatic herbs.
  • Aged Manchego DOP with fig jam
Polished tannins and concentrated fruit are balanced by the sweet-savoury cheese combination.

History
