Scharlachberg's quartzite-iron slope at Bingen am Rhein is one of Rheinhessen's most distinctive Grosse Lage sites; Bischel acquired parcels and added a GG bottling to the line after the VDP membership in 2019.
Smoky tropical fruit, quartzite-iron mineral and a deep saline finish. Full-bodied with high acidity and a long finish.
Drink 5 to 18 years from vintage. Young bottles benefit from 30-60 minutes of decanting.
