What it pairs with

  • Whole roasted lamb (cordero asado)
The Castilian tradition of whole-roasted lamb and aged Ribera del Duero is a regional standard-bearer.
  • Venison stew with black truffle
Gamey richness and truffle earth resonate with the wine's dried-fruit depth.
  • Aged Manchego Viejo
Long-aged cheese brings crystalline salt to mirror the wine's concentrated complexity.

History

The Janus label commemorates the two-faced Roman god, representing the estate's dual identity as both innovator and guardian of tradition. Released only in the finest vintages, it represents years of extra ageing beyond the Gran Reserva and is distributed in very limited quantities.
