What it pairs with

  • Grilled lamb chops
Fresh acidity and dark fruit pair well with charcoal-grilled Castilian lamb.
  • Pork ribs with paprika
Paprika-seasoned pork and the wine's herb and fruit notes are a rustic match.
  • Semi-cured Manchego
Fresh sheep's milk cheese and the wine's fresh cherry notes are a casual pairing.

History

Bodegas Cepa 21 was founded in 2001 as the Moro family's second estate at Pesquera de Duero, focusing on younger-vine Tinto Fino to create more vibrant, accessible wines than the prestige Malleolus range of Emilio Moro. The Cepa 21 label was first produced with the 2003 vintage.
