History
Hacienda Monasterio was founded in 1991 near Pesquera de Duero with Peter Sisseck, later of Pingus fame, as the consulting winemaker. The estate's distinctive five-variety Bordeaux-inspired blend set it apart from the mono-varietal tradition of Ribera del Duero.
