What it pairs with

  • Grilled lamb rack with herbs de Provence
The wine's fresh herb and violet notes pair with herb-crusted lamb.
  • Duck breast with black pepper
Pepper-forward Syrah and duck breast are a natural Rhone combination.
  • Charcuterie with Ardeche saucisson
Local charcuterie from the Ardeche pairs with this Cornas in the most natural way.

History

Chaillot uses fruit from the younger-vine plots in the Chaillot lieu-dit. It was produced alongside Reynard from Allemand's first vintage to offer a slightly more accessible version of his zero-intervention Cornas philosophy.

  1. 1985 — First vintage of Chaillot produced alongside Reynard from Chaillot lieu-dit
