Straw yellow with green tints, rich floral aromatics of orange flower and lemon verbena over wet granite, and a mineral, almost saline palate.
The producer's cited note describes straw yellow with slight green tints, rich floral aromas of orange flower and lemon verbena, lemon leaf, lime, pear and wet-granite minerality with soft vanilla from well integrated wood. The palate is very fresh, mineral almost to the point of saline, balanced and slightly unctuous.
Classic vinification at controlled temperature, then partial ageing in French oak barrels with bâtonnage over six months.
Mark Squires scored the 2016 at 90 points for Wine Advocate in February 2020, calling it concentrated and gripping and noting that it needs a food pairing.
