History

Michele Faro planted Carricante on the east slope in the Archineri contrada when establishing Pietradolce in 2005, aiming to produce a single-vineyard Etna Bianco Superiore comparable to Benanti's Pietramarina. The wine is named for the contrada and is a single-plot Carricante from the Milo zone.
