Estate Cairanne from Domaine Brusset; dark, cocoa-accented, and herb-driven from one of the Southern Rhone's most reliable Grenache appellations.

What it pairs with

  • Lamb stew with vegetables and herbs
Generous Grenache-Syrah matches rustic Provencal lamb stew.
  • Grilled duck sausage
Cocoa and dark fruit notes pair well with duck charcuterie.

History

Domaine Brusset is headquartered in Cairanne, where the family farms old Grenache and Syrah across the village's clay-limestone soils. Cairanne was elevated to full AOC status in 2016.

  1. 1990 — Brusset Cairanne first produced as the estate red of the home appellation
  2. 2016 — Cairanne elevated from Cotes du Rhone Villages to full Cairanne AOC
