A powerful, traditional-style Chateauneuf with deep Grenache-driven fruit, garrigue perfume, leather, and a generous, warm, structured finish.

What it pairs with

  • Slow-roasted lamb shoulder with olives
Structured Grenache with warm spice is the classic match for Provencal lamb.
  • Wild boar civet
Dense fruit and leather notes complement game stew.
  • Grilled beef entrecote with bone marrow
Warm, concentrated Grenache handles rich beef and marrow.

History

Paul and Laurence Feraud founded Pegau in 1987, farming old-vine Grenache in the traditional Chateauneuf manner. The Cuvee Reservee is the estate flagship, aged in old foudres with no filtration, in the style of the appellation's great traditional estates.

  1. 1987 — Domaine du Pegau established by Paul and Laurence Feraud
  2. 1990 — Cuvee Reservee earns recognition from international critics
