In the glass
Aroma: cassis, dark plum, violet, incense
Palate: concentrated black fruit, graphite, cedar, fine-grained tannins
Torralvo is the prestige old-vine single-parcel selection from Vizcarra Ramos, with concentrated cassis, violet, graphite and cedar from 22 months in oak and the estate's oldest vines.
What it pairs with
-
Prime Castilian beef chop on woodfire
High concentration and graphite need the char and fat of prime woodfire beef. -
Slow-braised venison in red wine
Violet and incense notes in the wine mirror the gamey depth of slow venison. -
Aged Manchego DOP viejo
Crystalline old cheese provides the saline counterpoint to concentrated fruit.
