Aroma: red cherry, plum, floral, cedar

Palate: fresh red fruit, light spice, silky tannins, bright acidity

The second wine from Astrales, sharing the estate's elegant, fresh profile: red cherry, plum and floral notes from 12 months in mixed-fill French oak, with bright acidity and silky tannins.

What it pairs with

  • Roast chicken with paprika
Medium body and fresh acidity are perfectly matched to well-seasoned roast chicken.
  • Pork tenderloin with herbs
The wine's fresh cherry and floral character complements the clean pork flavour.
  • Vegetable paella
Bright fruit and medium tannins make a fine partner for saffron-scented rice.

History

Christina is the second label from Astrales at La Aguilera, named for a family member of the founding owners. It shares the estate's vineyard but applies a lighter touch with shorter and less intensive oak ageing, offering the Astrales house style at a more accessible price.
