Pavillon is a monopoly of 0.21 hectare overlooking the Le Grand Clos hillside at the top of Bourgueil, on clay (1 to 2 metres) over Turonian limestone. After 50 years of abandonment the enclosure was restored, levelled and replanted by Yannick Amirault in 1997. The cuvée is released only in exceptional vintages.
