Single-vineyard Bourgueil from the Grand Mont tuffeau-limestone slope at Bourgueil town. Pierre-Jacques Druet's structured, age-worthy Cabernet Franc with cassis and chalk.

What it pairs with

  • Beef rib roast with bordelaise
Rich beef and red-wine reduction frame the wine's chalky tannin.
  • Roast saddle of lamb
Lamb and the wine's violet-tobacco register align.
  • Mature Comte 30 months
Crystalline nutty cheese sharpens the wine's mineral length.

History
