Fuller-bodied Reserva from Legaris with dark cherry, chocolate and cedar from extended time in French oak; herbal and mineral notes reflect the Curiel de Duero terroir.

What it pairs with

  • Slow-roasted lamb shoulder
The wine's dark fruit and firm tannins suit the fat and depth of slow lamb.
  • Beef and mushroom stew
Earthy chocolate and cedar notes echo the earthy stew elements.
  • Aged Roncal cheese
Hard sheep's-milk cheese salt pairs with the firm, food-friendly tannins.

History

The Legaris Reserva applies the Torres family's precision gravity-flow winemaking to a longer oak regime, spending 16 months in French barriques before bottle rest in the estate's cave cellar at Curiel de Duero.

  1. 2003 — First Legaris Reserva released from the Curiel de Duero estate
