Nereo is Bressan's Pignolo, named for Nereo Bressan, father of Fulvio and born in 1932. The vines on the Corona estate were planted in 1991 and the wine is held about 20 years in large casks on its lees with periodic batonnage before release; the family's usual Pignolo ages at least 10 years in wood.
