Originally founded as Agusti Torello Mata in 1955 by Agusti Torello at Sant Sadurni. Renamed Celler Kripta in early 2024 after its flagship cuvee. Kripta's amphora-shaped bottle, designed by Agusti Torello, is intended to promote constant circular movement of the lees. In 2026 the winery left DO Cava and joined Corpinnat. The Kripta cuvee is released only in exceptional vintages after 60 to 84 months on lees.
Tasting: Tour focused on Kripta's amphora-shaped bottle production, long-ageing cellars and a flight of Kripta, Augusti Torello Mata Reserva Barrica and the experimental Gran Reserva range.

Founded in 1870 in Vilafranca del Penedes by Jaime Torres Vendrell. The Pacs del Penedes campus is the visitor headquarters. Mas La Plana, the 29-hectare Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard at Finca El Maset planted in the early 1970s, produced the 1970 vintage that famously beat Chateau Latour 1970 at the 1979 Gault-Millau Wine Olympiad. Listed in the 2022 World's Best Vineyards ranking. The family operates roughly 2,300 hectares across Penedes, Conca de Barbera, Priorat, Costers del Segre and beyond.
Tasting: Visit centre at Finca El Maset includes train tour through the vineyards and underground cellar, restaurant lunch pairing Familia Torres wines with Catalan menus, and a dedicated Mas La Plana single-vineyard flight.

Founded in 1963 by Jean Leon (Ceferino Carrion), Cantabrian-Hollywood restaurateur who served the first 1969 vintage of La Scala Cabernet at his namesake Los Angeles restaurant. The first single-variety Cabernet Sauvignon labelled and bottled in Spain. President Ronald Reagan served the 1975 vintage at his 1981 inauguration dinner. Family-owned by Torres since 1995; managed by Mireia Torres since 2010. Organic-certified estate.
