What does Ktima Mitravela taste like?
Mitravelas describes a soft, deep and powerful wine with a cherry-dark colour and deep violet shades, a bouquet framed by jams of red fruits, pepper, leather, ink, oregano, tobacco and vanilla, concentrated herb and cherry aromas and vivid acidity. The tannins are very well integrated and give a silky texture.
How is Ktima Mitravela made?
The grapes are destemmed and inoculated with autochthonous yeasts selected from the Nemea area, then held on skins for about 15 days at relatively low temperatures. Malolactic fermentation follows, then six months in second and third use French oak, and the wine is bottled unfiltered.
