Aroma: red fruit, mature cherry, raspberry, tobacco

Palate: full fruit, savoury, round

From the La Court cru acquired in 1995, Chiarlo's flagship Barbera shows red fruit, mature cherry, raspberry and sweet tobacco over a full-bodied, harmonious palate with a savoury, round finish.

What it pairs with

  • Agnolotti del plin
Barbera's acidity cuts the rich meat filling.
  • Risotto with meat sauce
The wine's structure carries the savoury rice.
  • Guinea fowl
Round Barbera frames the delicate game.

History

La Court is the Nizza-area cru Michele Chiarlo acquired in 1995 and developed into its flagship Barbera, also home to the estate's open-air art park.
