Albert Seltz fought a multi-year campaign to have Sylvaner recognised as a Grand Cru grape on Zotzenberg above Mittelbergheim, which produced exceptional Sylvaner. Zotzenberg became the only Alsace Grand Cru permitting Sylvaner in 2005.
