Straw yellow with numerous fine persistent bubbles. Carga build the blanc de blancs on Beli Pinot, a champagne variety that rarely appears alone, and the result is fruity, fresh and light with a soft mineral edge.

What it pairs with

  • Oysters
Carga name oysters; the producer says they show the elegance of Beli Pinot best.
  • Sushi
The producer names sushi; 12 percent alcohol and fine bubbles keep raw fish clean.
  • As an aperitif
Carga call it an aperitif sparkling, and the light frame supports that.
