What it pairs with
-
Roast suckling lamb with garlic and herbs
The wine's mature, complex character needs a classic Castilian roast at table. -
Game bird with mushroom and truffle sauce
Leather, tobacco and balsamic notes find their echo in the gamey bird and earthy sauce. -
Manchego Curado
Mature tannins and dried-fruit character pair with medium-aged cured sheep's cheese.
History
The Gran Reserva from Bodegas Reyes represents the peak of the estate's traditional ageing philosophy: 24 months in French oak and a minimum 36 months in bottle before release. Only made in exceptional vintages, this is the Pedrosa de Duero style at its most traditional.
- 2001 — First Teofilo Reyes Gran Reserva released after extended cellar ageing
